# Companio

> Companio (trycompanio.in) is an Indian marketplace for strictly platonic, in-person company: café chats, city walks, gym and running partners, live events, weekend treks, museum visits, gossip over chai, and gentle company for older parents. It is not a dating app and does not allow romantic or adult services.

Operated by TRYCOMPANIOLABS LLP, New Delhi, India (LLPIN ACY-1464).

## How it works
- Browse companions by city and activity at https://www.trycompanio.in/explore
- Buy a time-limited Companio Pass (1 month, 3 months, 12 months or lifetime; one-time payment, no auto-renewal, no auto-debit) to see full profiles and request meetups.
- Each meetup is booked and paid separately at the companion's own rate, through Razorpay (UPI, cards, netbanking).
- The companion accepts the request, chat opens, and the two meet in a public place. A meetup code confirms the meetup happened; companions are paid after a 24-hour complaint window.
- Members can reschedule from their dashboard. If a paid meetup does not take place, the amount is returned as Companio Wallet credits that never expire.

## Safety
- Every companion submits a government ID, and a person on the Companio team reviews it before the profile goes live ("ID-Checked, human-reviewed"). There is no third-party background check.
- Strictly platonic rule; violations lead to a permanent ban. In-app SOS and location sharing during meetups. Report and block at any time.
